Welcome to Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education. On behalf of the Program Directors, Faculty, Residents and Staff, it is my distinct pleasure to present to you our residency programs. We at Mount Carmel are proud of our heritage and mission. For many decades, Mount Carmel Graduate Medical Education has been educating residents in a unique environment involving 3 different hospitals, each serving a distinct patient population. Mount Carmel Grove City is our flagship training site. Residents at this facility provide care for a diverse population, including at-risk and underserved patients. Mount Carmel St. Ann’s provides our Family Medicine Residents with an unopposed learning environment where they provide the full spectrum of community-based medicine. Our Surgery and Internal Medicine Residents also rotate to Mount Carmel East where they work closely with specialists who serve a more suburban population. Because our residents rotate within a multitude of environments, we can provide them with a much broader clinical experience.
Mount Carmel has a rich history of Graduate Medical Education that dates back decades with a mission to serve those who are less fortunate than others. This spirit and mission is alive and well today as we educate the physicians of tomorrow. As we like to say only “the few and the proud” are able and willing to train with us as we provide care to a diverse population in a unique learning environment.
