I also really enjoyed my time spent here interviewing and during the second look party where I truly felt the friendly and family like atmosphere. Also, because of my interest in underserved health, I feel that this program offers me the chance to continue to pursue this field strongly.

  • Why I Chose Mount Carmel: I chose Mount Carmel because it has the feel of a community-based program with strong academics, which was important to me when considering where to train for a career in Family Medicine. MCHS also demonstrates a commitment to providing care for underserved communities which is something that I value. The fact that our outpatient clinic is a patient-centered medical home was important to me too. On top of all of that, the residents, faculty, and staff were incredibly kind and down-to-earth on my interview day, and I felt like I fit well with the program.
