Operative Experience

Over the course of five years, our residents typically perform more than 1,100 operative procedures, including 200 major procedures with relative autonomy during the fifth year. Residents are exposed to a wide variety of procedures, including a large number of laparoscopic procedures. Extensive and early first year operative experience is a hallmark of the program. The following charts show major procedure averages for our most recent graduates and our first year residents for 2021-2022.
