The members of Mount Carmel's Internal Medicine Residency Program are a diverse group of physicians, the breadth of which brings to the program a rich and inspiring variety of perspectives on healthcare and medicine.

  • Medical Special Interest: All aspects of Internal Medicine, with a special interest in Infectious Disease
  • Outside Interests: I enjoy hiking, running, and watching crime series. I also love being a Father to my twins!
  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: Out of all the interviews I had, Mount Carmel was hands down the most welcoming and friendly. They embody the concept of a family environment, while also ensuring a strong education within their training. On top of this, they uniquely provide culinary medicine and place a special interest in resident wellness. These are just a few of the reasons why I ranked Mount Carmel #1.

  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: I chose Mount Carmel because of the residents and faculty. During my audition rotation I could tell that the faculty truly loved to teach and they challenged me to improve each day while maintaining a very supportive environment. The residents were also eager to help me despite their busy schedules, and were always very kind and supportive of me and one another. No matter where you go for residency, the medicine will be relatively the same, but your colleagues are what will make the difference, and at Mount Carmel I found that difference.

  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: I chose Mount Carmel due to my positive experiences with the health system during my third year rotations, the supportive faculty, and welcoming atmosphere. I have confidence that the IM program at Mount Carmel will best prepare me for future fellowship/practice and allow me to leave a positive impact on central Ohio and the surrounding communities.

  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: Amazing support system and emphasis on preventing burnout and supporting mental health among physicians. I was born in Columbus, OH so Mount Carmel was always at the top of my list due to my rotations here as well as the proximity to the area I grew up in. Lastly, there are no fellows so I will be able to maximize my experience and be able to do as many procedures as I want to.

  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: The dedication that the faculty and program as a whole put towards training and educating their residents left a big impression on me. Additionally, the sense of community among not just the residents, but that with the faculty as well, really helped make Mount Carmel stick out to me.

In addition to its close proximity to my family, the program also boasts a beautiful new hospital and many opportunities for getting involved with research and fellowship pursuits.

After communicating with some of the residents and faculty, I know my medical training is in good hands at Mount Carmel’s Internal Medicine program.

  • Why I chose Mount Carmel: There were several compelling factors that led me to choose Mount Carmel. Firstly, I was drawn to the program’s reputation for fostering a genuinely friendly and supportive environment. It immediately struck me as a place where I would thrive and find satisfaction in my work. Additionally, the prospect of remaining within driving distance of family and being in the same city as many of my friends was another significant influence.
