Accommodation of Resident Physicians with Disabilities
Mount Carmel Health System (MCHS) Medical Education Leadership and Administration are committed to compliance with the federal laws pertaining to people with disabilities, i.e., the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). Accordingly, Graduate Medical Education (GME) is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified resident physicians with disabilities. GME strictly follows MCHS' policy and regulations regarding reasonable accommodations of persons with disabilities.
If you feel that you need a reasonable accommodation to perform your responsibilities as a resident, you should contact your Program Director, the Vice President of Medical Education, or the Human Resources Department. Human Resources will partner with Associate Health Services and GME to initiate the ADA process.
